Privacy

This policy explains what SnapTidy (“we”) collects. SnapTidy is a desktop application. The short version: the documents it reads stay on your computer, and we never receive them.

Your files

Text extraction from your images and PDFs happens locally, using recognition models bundled inside the application. There is no upload step. We do not receive your files, their contents, their names, or the folders they live in, and we have no way to.

What the application sends

The installed application makes two kinds of network request:

• Licence activation and checks. Your licence key is sent to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, to confirm it is valid. Activating it also sends your computer’s name, as Windows reports it, so the computers on one licence can be told apart when you free one up. Later checks send the key and the activation ID Lemon Squeezy gave back. None of this carries anything about your documents.
• Update checks. The application asks GitHub, where SnapTidy’s releases are published (github.com/forgeos-dev/snaptidy-releases), whether a newer version exists. This is a request for a small file describing the latest release. Like any web request, it gives GitHub your IP address.

This website

If you join our email list, we keep the email address you enter and the date you joined. We use it to send the launch email and occasional SnapTidy news.

The list is held by Resend, our email provider, which sends those emails for us. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all sending to you. We never sell, rent or share your address.

To have your address deleted from the list entirely, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

This site is hosted on Vercel, which records standard server request logs, and is served through Cloudflare, which every request passes through on its way to the site. Both see your IP address. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and the site sets no cookies of its own.

Payments

When SnapTidy goes on sale, purchases will be made through Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record. That means Lemon Squeezy is the seller: it takes the payment, handles sales tax, issues invoices and processes refunds, under its own buyer terms. Card details are entered on its systems and are never seen by us. Its handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.

When you buy, Lemon Squeezy passes us your name, email address and order details, so we can support your purchase. Your licence key comes from Lemon Squeezy, by email.

Who else handles your data

We use these services, and only for what is described above:

• Lemon Squeezy sells SnapTidy, takes payment, and checks licence keys.
• Resend holds the email list and sends its emails.
• GitHub hosts SnapTidy’s downloads and answers the application’s update checks. It receives your IP address.
• Vercel hosts this website and keeps its request logs.
• Cloudflare sits in front of this website and passes every request through to it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will respond.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page.
